0306 – An Honest Look at the Arms Trade Treaty

Today’s podcast is not the typical stuff that I get involved with but it ties into yesterdays podcast where I talked about the infighting that takes place in the gun world.  Yesterday’s podcast coincides with an interesting debate on Open Carry vs. Concealed Carry.   In the first two comments on the Facebook posting the argument degraded to insults.  Same on Youtube.  Craziness when we look at the fact taht a company like Crossbreed has stepped forward to start a new gun related TV show to reach out to the public and especially crazy when we compare it to the topic we look at today.

The Arms Trade Treaty commonly referred to as the U.N. Small Arms Treaty is a looming issue that we need to wrap our heads around.  There is a lot of hype out there about the treaty and what it means.  Today we are going to sort it out the best we can for now!

0278 – Three Reasons I’ll Be Going to ‘See Act of Valor’ Again

This past weekend my wife and I found ourselves in a situation where we had built in baby sitting, a movie thearter close by, and a movie that I really wanted to see opening at the silver screen.  We put the kids to bed and took off to see ‘Act of Valor.’  It was worth the $23.00 it cost us to go to the show.  Of course ‘Act of Valor’ has been garnering a lot of attention as it is a story about SEALs starring SEALs in a time where America is in love with SEALs.  It seems like all is right in the world.  I hate to be just like everybody else, but I’m going to do it any way and tell you 3 reasons I will be heading back to the theater to catch ‘Act of Valor’ again.

0108 – The Right to Self-Defense

I’m used to seeing stories like this one come out of the UK.

However, here in the US we have been on an opposite track.

Since before 2000 we have seen more States move to Shall Issue laws.  In addition self-defense laws in general have improved with places approving open carry, restaurant carry, protection from civil infractions, and stand your ground laws.

We hate to see stories like this one coming out of Utah of all places!
