0313 – An interview with Black Forge and Time Kruse at NASGW 2012

/
About six weeks ago became the owner of my first AK-47. I got it on a trade and it seems to be a pretty decent rifle, but really, what do I know? The answer is not much when it comes to the Eastern Block weapons. I don't have anything negative to say about the Ak's and their variants, I simply am fairly ignorant to the platform. the great thing about the gun industry is the fact that there is an expert about every gun and those experts love to share what it is that they know. That is the plan today. To learn from Tim Kruse of Black Forge.

0268 – Interview with Zach of Helix Arms

Today we have an interview that literally had me laughing out loud both during the recording and again throughout the editing. I hope you find the conversation I had with Zach of Helix Arms as much as we did. We do talk about some serious topics, and no, you shouldn't load your shot shells with rock salt.

0265 – An Interview with John Paul of JP Enterprises

/
My primary AR-15 is a JP rifle. I bought a JP for several reasons: First, JP has taken a bunch of time over the years to give me personal customer support. When I say JP, I am talking about the people at JP, but also John Paul. When someone takes the time to invest in me as a customer, I become a loyal customer. Second, I started out as a competitive shooter and JP dominated the competitive market where I played my gun games. I know that competition isn't battle, but I also know that competition can be a grueling test ground for combative gear. JP has proven that their rifles will continue to perform in the harshest of conditions. Finally, with JP, I had the opportunity to have a rifle built to my exact specifications. I hope you enjoy today's podcast and if you are shopping for a new AR, give JP a look.

0264 – Interview with Stacey Nagey of Primary Weapons Systems

The AR-15 is currently one of the most popular weapons platforms out there and like anything out there that is hot, it is stuck into a bunch of gunnisms. AR vs. AK, 5.56 vs. 6.whatever, 16" vs. 10.5", and probably one of the biggest out there right now, DI vs piston. There are lots of manufacturers out there building the best rifles they can with all the options customers can possibly think of and of course all the choices are fueling the fire. Today, our goal is to smother the blase and try to actually understand why we might want a piston gun. PWS is going to help us with that task.

0193 – Thoughts on Home Defense Tactics

Everyone has a different home, family situation and the chaotic nature of violence means that no two violent encounters are going to be the same. This means that we need to be able to adapt the tactics we apply to our home-defense. Today we will take a look at some considerations we need to weigh as we look at various home-defense tactics.

0174 – How’s Your Training Going?

/
As a trainer and a teacher I have always placed learning pretty high on my list of things to do so it shouldn't be much of a surprise that I spend a good bit of my time learning. Today we will take a look at how you might organize your training and ways you can extend your resources to get that training in without breaking the bank.

0101 – SDFAQ Selecting the Correct Gun for the Job

/
There is no topic more heavily debated across gun shop counters, at shooting ranges, during training courses and of course on the web that what is the perfect gun for _________? My favorite part of this debate is that people actually think there is a universal answer. Today we will take a look at what criteria we should use to help us select the proper firearm for the job.
