On Saturday I spent 8 hours with Chris of Tactics Design at a seminar sponsored by the Buckeye Firearms Association.  The presenter was author of the book: Terror At Beslan, John Giduck.
John was a great and entertaining presentor and really helped to bring together some of the important concepts related to terrorism and mass hostage seiges.  In addition, John presented some lessons that we need to learn from previous mass hostage sieges.  It is my personal opinion that at some point and time we are we are going to face a mass hostage siege here in America.  Today we are going to take a look at five things that ANYONE and EVERYONE could do to help us to prepare to handle a mass hostage siege.  The ideas presented were presented by John Giduck and I have added my own little twists and opinions.
- Dress for battle EVERYDAY!
- Integrate support services
- Get medical training
- Be ready to handle the first 5 minutes alone
- Terrorists fear failure armed citizens and LEO are the greatest danger to the success of their plans
