On Saturday I spent 8 hours with Chris of Tactics Design at a seminar sponsored by the Buckeye Firearms Association.  The presenter was author of the book: Terror At Beslan, John Giduck.
John was a great and entertaining presentor and really helped to bring together some of the important concepts related to terrorism and mass hostage seiges.  In addition, John presented some lessons that we need to learn from previous mass hostage sieges.  It is my personal opinion that at some point and time we are we are going to face a mass hostage siege here in America.  Today we are going to take a look at five things that ANYONE and EVERYONE could do to help us to prepare to handle a mass hostage siege.  The ideas presented were presented by John Giduck and I have added my own little twists and opinions.
- Dress for battle EVERYDAY!
- Integrate support services
- Get medical training
- Be ready to handle the first 5 minutes alone
- Terrorists fear failure armed citizens and LEO are the greatest danger to the success of their plans

Glad you got to hear Giduck speak. He is very compelling. If you still want to chat about school safety, give me a call next week.
Donald – he did a nice job of tying up some lose ends that I had dangling on the topic. I will be in touch next week!
It may interest you to note that John Giduck is a complete fraud. Google it.
Johan – Thanks for the heads up, but I have been aware of a good part of the situation for some time now. It is a shame that people can’t just be themselves and instead have to try and impress others instead of simply building credibility through hard work and experience. It is a particular shame because I think that Giduck has some good information to share but just like Marshall his misleading claims have tarnished it all.
I don’t know if you have listened to much of my content here, but I work hard to put out quality information and every once in a while a lame duck squeeks in. That is the case here. I was aware that some folks were questioning his background when I attended his lecture, but it has grown since then. Quite a cluster in fact.
So again, thanks for the heads up as it reminded me to yank Terror at Beslan off the recommended reading list on the website.
I hope that you poke around the site here and decide to stick around.
