This is a common sense topic, but I see so many mistakes.
Keep your holiday travel plans (or any travel plans) to your self!
If you wouldn’t trust them with a key to your house, don’t trust them with your travel plans!
Most people aren’t interested in robbing you, but who knows who they might share your information with.
So keep your mouth closed.
Enlist some help while you are gone.
- Timers for lights, Televisions and radios.
- Leave the bathroom light on
- Check out Practical Defense Fake TV
- Have a friend take out and bring in the trash, cut the lawn, shovel the drive, mow the grass, shuffle the cars in the drive way, pick up the paper, take in the mail, you get the point.
We want our home to look lived in even when it isn’t!
Take a vacation from social media while you are away. Â A status update like, “Rio is such a great place!” says way too much!
Shut up, have a good trip, and stay safe!
