Well, colder weather is here in NE Ohio. The wind has picked up, the leaves are down, plow stakes are in the driveway.
Every year I have this miniature battle with myself about cold weather carry.
Positives of cold weather carry:
- Concealment is a breeze!
- Carry can be more comfortable
- All those pockets
- Statistically we are less likely to become victims of violent crimes
Negatives of cold weather carry
- The deeper we conceal, the slower our draw
- People tend to change the way they dress more often. Â This leads to inconsistent carry
- All those pockets
- Cold weather gloves
We need to strive for:
- Speed of deployment
- Consistency in how we carry
- adequacy of concealment
